Out on the stormy sea that day
The disciples were tossed about.
And as the waves grew ever larger
They succumbed to fear and doubt.
They were amazed that Jesus could slumber
Amidst the howling, raging wind.
They fretted as He slept on peacefully,
Then finally cried out to Him.
In their fear they failed to remember
That sharing the boat with them
Was the One who controls the waters --
They forgot, until reminded by Him.
When the sea of life gets stormy
And the tempest of fear starts to brew,
Remember you're sailing with Jesus --
And He's still in the boat with you.

He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said
unto the sea, Peace,
be still. And the wind ceased,
and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:39)
