Statement of Faith

I read a book about the days of old
When pioneers settled the west.
It told of their joys and sorrows
As they labored and gave their best.

As I read their story with interest,
One thing struck me time and again --
Their faith and trust in the Lord
And their deep devotion to Him.

It would do us well to consider
How much today we've "progressed".
Perhaps if we'd serve Him with pioneer hearts,
Our nation would again be blessed.

1996 J M McIntosh

If my people who are called by My name will humble
themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn
from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
(II Chronicles 7:14)
