Out of the ashes He brought me,
My Savior, so gracious and kind.
From the flames of sins and transgressions,
He swept me away in His time.
From a deep pit of darkness He drew me,
My precious, redeeming dear Lord.
From and eternity bleak and foreboding,
To life everlasting and pure.
To the top of the mountain He took me,
My Jesus, who bears all my sin.
From the valley below to the mount up above,
He sought me and drew me to Him.
To the ends of the earth I'll proclaim Him,
My Savior who rescued my soul.
One day He'll return as He promised,
Then to the heights of Heaven I'll go.

Indeed it was for my own peace that I had
great bitterness; but You lovingly delivered
my soul from the pit of corruption, for You
have cast all my sins behind Your back.
