His eyes were ever upon me,
Though I had wandered far from home;
His loving hands were gently guiding,
Though I felt confused and alone.
I was lost in a distant city,
Roaming the sin-filled streets;
But He laid out a course before me
That led to my Savior's feet.
When I strayed away from home,
His love led me back to Him;
Now I'm back where I've always belonged,
Safe in His arms again.

But while he was still a long way off, his
father saw him and was filled with compassion
for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around
him and kissed him. (Luke 15:20)
